Martin Weener – Studied etching with Stanley W. Hayter at Atelier
17 in Paris, then turned to painting while he lived in England and
Los Angeles. He exhibited oil paintings, scratchboard drawings and
prints at Orr’s Gallery during the early 1960’s, including
a one man show in November, 1961.

Serigraph,
number 10 out of an edition of 50. Signed “M.W.,” titled
and dated 1960, in pencil, by the artist. This print is related to
Weener’s scratchboard drawings in which his designs are scratched
through a dark or dotted surface to expose a brighter layer beneath.
