Designer/Maker: Francoise Gilot, 20th Century French Painter/Printmaker.
While living in La Jolla, California with her husband Jonas Salk,
this world-renowned artist and ex-wife of Picasso created several
intaglio etchings at the GraphiCenter in San Diego. Between lithographs
she produced at Tamarind in 1975 and 1977, these etchings were made
in 1976. The GraphiCenter in San Diego also published etchings by
local artists Barney Reid and Paul Lingren and was associated with
Orr's Gallery.
- Description:
A set of TWO etchings: artists proof 1 and the cancellation proof
from the edition published by the GraphiCenter in 1976. Both are signed
and titled in pencil by the artist. Brilliant prints, they are original
Orr's Gallery inventory and have been in storage for more than 30
years.
