Intriguing cast bronze abstract sculpture. Wonderful
example of Thompson's early sculptures prior to leaving his Los
Angeles foundry in 1970 to solely pursue printmaking. A similar
piece, JB Thompson's "Embraced Figure" sculpture, won 1st
place in
the "Professional, Contemporary" category at the Southern
California
Exposition—Southland Salute, Art in All Media 1966. Signed "JBT
'64"
