Berta Wright—One of the primary movers and shakers of the Arizona
arts scene, the late Mrs. Wright operated the finest Crafts gallery
in Tucson for decades. She also produced a very sucessful line of
screen printed fabrics, did interior design consultation, and served
as a catalyst for area artists, which included founding the Arizona
Designer-Craftsmen.
- Description:
An early, hand-printed design is printed three times to create a vertical
wall-hanging. The abstract image is in turquoise blue on heavy natural
woven fabric with many irregularities and tufts. This piece comes
from the collection of Berta and Adolph Wright, and her initials are
printed in the design. Mahogany dowel is included.

46” x 20½”
- Condition:
Very good with one discolored area that appears to be original to
the fabric and is partially printed over.
