Received B.A. from the CCAC and later, received his M.A. at Mills
College, where he was a student of Tony Prieto. He was also a resident
artist at the Archie Bray in the early 1950's. Exhibited at the Everson/Syracuse
Ceramic Nationals in 1954 and 1956. Exhibited at the Association of
San Francisco Potters in the 1950's.
Description:
Large stoneware vase or bottle form with brown and dark
green drip glaze. Signed on bottom “Volckening.” Circa
60’s.
