David Stewart. San Diego, California. One of the very few San Diego
Potters to earn his living from his art, David Stewart had a shop
for 15 years in Old Town. Although very independent, he was a member
(briefly) of the Potters' Guild in the early 60's, and of the Allied
Craftsmen in the early 70's. He attended El Camino Junior College
and later San Diego State College. Pond
Farm student from 1959 to 1961. Assisted Marguerite Wildenhain at
her summer workshops from 1962 until she retired in 1980.
