Amy Donaldson was born in San Francisco and was trained as a painter,
studying at the University if Denver and Reed Art School in Denver.
Later, in California, she focused on watercolors, studying with Rex
Brandt. She began to exhibit her pottery during the early 1950's in
San Diego as a member of the Allied Craftsmen and the San Diego Art
Guild. As a potter, she studied with Shoji Hamada and Dean Strawn
among others. In addition to countless shows in the San Diego area,
Amy Donaldson exhibited at:
