  • Designer/Maker: Oscar Bucher – California artist who established a studio in the Santa Barbara foothills after moving from his native Switzerland. Bucher was also an important regional educator who taught in the art department at Santa Barbara City College for almost thirty years where he helped establish the ceramics and glass-blowing programs. Although he has exhibited internationally, Bucher was associated with the California Crafts movement during the 1960s and 1970s and participated in high profile exhibitions like:

  • Description: Skillfully executed lidded vessel with fine glaze work and incised decoration. Signed on the botton.
