Incredible collection of Brown-Saltman and California Trends
ephemera. It includes original sketches of John Keal designs, photos
and catalog tear sheets. The collection was obtained from an estate
in southern California. Most, if not all, of the drawings are documented
John Keal designs. They date from the early 1950s. The connection
between Brown-Saltman and California Trends is not clear. A catalaogue
from Pacific Iron Products was also obtained with this collection,
but is not for sale. John Keal also designed for Pacific Iron, as
did Paul Laszlo and Milo Baughman.

Handmade wood book with well over 100 catalog tear sheets. Ceramics
by La Gardo Tackett and other pieces by notable California design
comapnies like Van Keppel Green can be seen in many of the photographs.
Several issues of Arts and Architecture can also be seen on tables
and in magazine stands.
- Several original photographs of pieces that are
included in the tear sheets.

Most of the brochure pages are in good condition. Original sketches
are in poor condition with chipping, creases and fading. The collection
has a musty odor.
