Description: This unmarked rosewood and ebony box with a velvet lining is from the estate of Flora & John Olsen in La Jolla. John Olsen was responsible for developing the Art Departments at both Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton, selected the early faculty, etc., so the box could have been made by someone associated with one of those programs.
