Designer/Maker: Jun Dobashi – Jun Dobashi was born in Tokyo in 1910. He studied at the art academy there in 1933 but was in Paris in 1938-39. He had repeated showings with Dalzell Hatfield in Los Angeles and 1961 was given a solo show at the Redfern Gallery in London. Between 1956-60 Dobashi showed work regularly at the Salon du Mai and was presented as representative of the École de Paris at an exhibition mounted by the Galerie Charpentier in 1960.
