Hank and his wife at the time, fiber artist Lavonne Schrieber, came to Scottsdale Arizona together after they met at a small college in Caldwell, Idaho, where Hank taught crafts for two years. Hank started teaching at Arizona State in the early 1960s and brought a range of skills to the department, where he taught with Ben Goo and Don Schaumburg. Hank Schrieber taught ceramics, jewelry, design, glass blowing and lutherie at ASU for 13 years and was an early and active member of the Arizona Designer Craftsmen.

Description: Hefty, slab-built stoneware branch pot with brushed decoration and interesting mouth. Made in Arizona the early 1960s.
